The institute has been bestowed upon the Best Annual Report Award 2009-10 among the large institutes of ICAR. The award was presented to Dr. V. N. Sharda, Director, CSWCRTI by Hon'ble Minister  for Agriculture, Govt. of India, Shri Sharad Pawar on February 23, 2011 at ICAR award ceremony, New Delhi
