Human Resource Development

 ·           The Institute organizes a regular training programme of five and a half months durations in  soils and  water conservation   and watershed management. Through  73   batches , 2, 044 officers and  5, 204 assistants  deputed from various State Departments and international agencies like FAO and the Colombo Plan have been  trained.

·           Short  term courses from   managerial staff, NGOs and international agencies such as SADACC  have also been organized from time to time.

·           Research orientation is provided to post graduate student under a collaborative post graduate programme from time to time.

·           MOUs have been signed with SAUs for collaborative post graduate research.
