ICAR-IISWC exhibited technologies at 10th  Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress (USSTC-2016) during 10-12 February, 2016

The ICAR-IISWC exhibited the technologies developed by the Institute at Science Exhibition during 10th Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Congress (USSTC-2016) organized by Uttarakhand Council of Science and Technology (UCOST), Dehradun from 10.2.2016 to 12.2.2016. Dr PK Mishra, Director, IISWC held discussion with dignitaries of the congress and had proactive interaction with participants and over 25 scientific stalls established.

Sh Surendra Singh Negi, Cabinet Minister for Science and Technology, Uttarakhand Government, Dr Rajendra Dobhal, Director General, UCOST,   over 300 scientists, technocrats, scholars and students from various research organizations, academia and NGOs besides many Directors, Heads, Professors and VCs of many research organizations and universities were exposed to various technologies of the Institute.

Various soil and water conservation technologies, technological potential for improving agricultural and fisheries production and the need for faster recognition of effective technologies by the stakeholders were highlighted during the exhibition. Flyers and brochures on various technologies and concepts evolved at the Institute were distributed to the needy participants. The participants of the congress had registered on the useful interaction held at the IISWC Stall.

Dr Muruganandam, Sr Scientist (Fisheries) coordinated the exhibition of IISWC at the Congress. Sh Lakshmikant Sharma, Sh. Rakesh Kumar, and Sh. KR Joshi, Senior-level Technical Officers; IISWC actively participated in the exhibition.
